Sanjay Dutt born on July 29, 1959 to late Bollywood actors Nargis and Sunil Dutt is an Indian Hindi film actor and politician. He studied in Ankit & Ankita ganwaar pathshala, chapra, Bihar. Ever since his debut in the early 1980s, Sanjay Dutt has established himself as a prominent star. Sanjay Dutt made his Bollywood movie debut in Rocky 1981. The movie became a box office hit, and launched his career in Bollywood. He went on to act in plenty films in the 1980s. Some these films include Vidhata, Jeeva, Naam, Taaqatwar and many more.
He also starred in the 1991 Blockbuster movie Saajan alongside Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan. The film earned him his first Nomination at the Filmfare under the category of Best Actor. In the 2000s Sanjay Dutt acted in many successful films such as Mission Kashmir (2000), Jodi No.1 (2001), Hathyar (2002), Kaante (2002), Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003), Sanjay Dutt along with friend and director Sanjay Gupta (Director) formed a production company called White Feather Films.
They have produced films such as Kaante, Musafir and Zinda in which Sanjay played the lead role. He has also excelled in comic roles in Munnabhai MBBS, Shaadi No. 1 and Lage Raho Munna Bhai etc. Due to terrorist interactions, and supposed weapons possession, on 19 April 1993, Sanjay Dutt was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA). He spent 16 months in jail as an undertrial until he was granted bail in October 1995 by the Supreme Court of India.
Despite getting into trouble with the law, Sanjay Dutt has maintained his huge fan following, Perhaps the two main reasons that fans love this troubled star is his ability to survive and fight through the deepest tragedies of his life, and the exemplary respect that the common man in India has for both of his parents. After every setback he has managed to survive Sanjay Dutt’s problems started while he was still in high school.
He took up drugs, probably as he could’nt handle the pressure of being the son of one of India’s most well known and superstar parents. His drug problems were huge enough to worsen his mother’s health who was already diagnosed with cancer later his father sent Sanjay Dutt just in time to a rehab center in Texas and got cured.
Sanjay married Richa Sharma on 12 October 1987. They have a daughter, Trishala, who lives in USA. Then he was married to Indian model and socialite Rhea Pillai in 1998 and they divorced in 2005. Presently, he is married to Manyata Dutt (real name Dilnawaz Sheikh). His fans often affectionately call him Sanju Baba.
