Mahesh Manjrekar born on 15 August, 1958 in Mumbai is is a well-known Indian film maker.He is an Indian director, actor, writer and producer. His father name was VL Manjarekar.Mahesh Manjrekar started his career as an actor in 1984 with his Marathi play Aflatoon. Since then he has acted in many films such as Kaante (2002), Musafir (2004), Plan(2004), Run (2004), Struggler (2005),and many others.

Mahesh was highly appreciated for his performance in these plays Mahesh Manjrekar produced a film named Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye. He also worked as a screen play writer of many films including Vaastav, Kurukshetra, Ehsaas and Struggler. Mahesh Manjrekar embarked on his journey as a film maker with the award winning Marathi film Aai for which he won a Filmfare for the best director and also bagged the Screen Videocon award that year.

Mahesh Manjrekar played negative roles in the Telugu film Okkadunnadu (2007) and as the gangster Javed in the film Slumdog Millionaire (2008).Mahesh Manjrekar is indeed a multi-talented personality of the Bollywood film industry.
