Kunal Kapoor Profile

An Indian actor Kunal Kapoor born 18 October 1975 in New Delhi, in a family, which was into construction business. He did his schooling in Mumbai and opted in the pre university college and is a graduate in commerce and then a course in export management.

Kunal never dreamt to be an actor, rather he is not a person who makes plans, but loves to venture  on any thing that excites him that moment like entry into a Construction Company, dabbled into stock market, export firm and textile unit and spent 5-6 years of his life after college trying 30 different professions, After trying all his interests Kunal Kapoor  ventured into ad films, he did a couple of ads with Rakesh Mehra .

who was searching a man with a beard for his ad on Coke. He has also ppeared in advertisements. He is currently the brand ambassador of Indian Terrain and Thumbs Up (India). Kunal’s tryst with cinema began as an assistant director to Rakesh Mehra on Amitabh Bachchan starrer in Aks. Later he moved into acting, starring opposite Tabu in Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities (2004).

Kunal Kapoor, the tall dusky character with unkempt hair and beard is always referred to as a dreamer. Kapoor came to prominence with his following film, Rang De Basanti (2006).  The film was critically and commercially successful, and it was India’s official entry to the Oscars and the Baftas. His performance was acclaimed and he received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award nomination.

Kunal has also acted on the stage and has worked with Motley, a theatre group run by Naseeruddin Shah His first 2007 film release, Hattrick, failed to do well at the box office. His next two films, both of which were produced by Yashraj Films (Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle (2007) also failed to do well at the box office, but helped his career reach new heights.

Kunal Kapoor  voiced the Indian god Rama in Mahayoddha Rama, directed by Raizada Rohit Jaising Vaid. The film is an animated mythological movie based on the Ramayana. Kunal started writing weekly columns for HT City, the lifestyle supplement of the Hindustan Times. These columns ended in November 2009 but still appear online on the social network Desimartini.

Kunal is currently learning how to fly airplanes at Sagar, MP and is keen to get his Private Pilot Licence (PPL). He has earned his skydiving qualifications at Sagar MP itself and is all set to go solo not only flying but also on skydiving adventures.Kunal Kapoor loves everything that goes into the making of a  ilm: editing, cinematography, production design and all the other technicalities. He has recently decided to try out scriptwriting.

Kapoor practices Goju-Ryu karate – a form of martial arts and is a follower of the Art Of Living courses, for which he travelled alongside Lara Dutta to Dubai, Fiji and New Zealand to spread the message of Art of Living to the youth. Kunal Kapoor was not a person with focus or dream, but yes his fortune of fame had not yet called him to mount the peak of glamour world.
