John Abraham born 17 December 1972 in Mumbai, his father Mujda, a Malayali Christian architect, while his mother is Hadia Parsi, a basketball teacher in her younger years. John Abraham original name is Farhan, but he was called John as per his father’s wish. He studied economics at the Bombay Scottish School, Mahim in Mumbai and got his MBA from the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET). John Abraham worked as a Media Planner at Enterprise-Nexus, an ad agency in Mumbai.

One day, when the model for a shoot did not come, his boss asked John to fill in. From there, started his journey as a model, John received an assignment for Live-In Jeans brand. John Abraham won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and went to the Philippines for Manhunt International, where he won second place. Following this, he was signed by Carrie Models in Singapore and did some modelling there; he later modelled in Hong Kong, London and New York City. He also appeared in a number of commercial advertisements and in other music videos for singers including Pankaj Udhas, Hans Raj Hans and Babul Supriyo.

Abraham joined the Kishore Namit Kapoor acting laboratory and completed an acting course while juggling modelling assignments. Abraham made his acting debut with Jism (2003), a thriller film His next films included a paranormal thriller Saaya (2003), Pooja Bhatt’s directorial debut Paap (2004) and Ahmed Khan’s Lakeer – Forbidden Lines (2004). John Abraham appeared, in a villainous role, as Kabir in Dhoom in 2004, an action film produced by Yash Raj Films. The film was one of the highest grossing films of that year. He also starred in the supernatural thriller Kaal and the comedy Garam Masala both of which did well at the box office.

John Abraham performed at the “Rockstars Concert”, along with fellow stars Salman Khan, Zayed Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Esha Deol, Shahid Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat. Now, John Abraham is all set to play an environmentalist activist in Deepa Mehta’s new film ‘Luna’. Since his entry in Bollywood (2002), John Abraham has been dating Bipasha Basu. This handsome hunk has stolen the limelight , being the most handsome actor in Bollywood.John Abraham beat Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan as the hottest actor present in the Indian film industry. He’s taken the world by storm. No one can escape his mischievous smile and long hair.
