Ashmit Patel, who has been struggling to make his mark in Bollywood film industry for about years, was born on 1st January, 1978 in Mumbai. Ashmit Patel the son of Amit Patel and Asha Patel. He is the brother of gorgeous Bollywood actress Amisha Patel. His grandfather was the famous Indian lawyer Rajni Patel.

Ashmit Patel was one of the Big Boss 4 Final 14 Participants. Ashmit had his schooling in Cathedral High School and later had his business degree in Texas, in the United States.

Towards the beginning of his career Ashmit worked in his father’s business farm, before he opted to step in films like his sister Amisha Patel, later he discovered his interest in acting and decided to try his luck in Bollywood.

Before acting in the first film “Inteha” in the direction on Vikram Bhatt, Ashmit Patel worked as a second assistant director for Firoz Nadiadwala-produced film Awara Paagal Deewana, directed by Vikram Bhatt.

Ashmit’s debut movie “Inteha” was a remake of 1996 Hollywood film “Fear.” Inteha was produced by Mukesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt. It was a result of their relation between Vikram Bhatt and Amisha that Vikram promised and made the film with Ashmit Patel as the hero. That film proved to be a failure at the box office. Ashmit has acted in over ten films after his debut film Inteha but none of them could help his career in any way.

Patel starred in Soni Razdan’s thriller Nazar[7] and Khalid Mohammed’s multi-starrer Silsilay. Both the films were unsuccessful at the box office.[8] In 2006, he played supporting roles in Dil Diya Hai, Banaras and Fight Club.[9] In 2007, he starred in the comedy Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana alongside Mahima Chaudhary and Rekha The only film that is worth mentioning is “Murder” his role was of not much importance though he acted in the film, as the lead roles played by Hashmit Patel.
